FREE HYGIENE PRODUCTS...

The NSW Department of Education has introduced a menstrual hygiene program in every NSW public school.

This program aims to support students and their well-being, by providing access to free sanitary hygiene products.

At Armidale Secondary College we have a combination of pads and tampons that are always readily available to any student that may require them.

The hygiene products are located in all staff rooms throughout the school and are always accessible from the administration office.

Creating Chances

This Term at ASC, a number of our Year 9 and 10 students have been involved in Creating Chances. Creating Chances is a program that focuses on positive youth development through sport. Highlights from this program include the Festival 23 Gala Day at Newling Public School and Year 9 students coaching Year 5 and 6 students from Minimbah. Thank you to Ben and Emily from Creating Chances for working with our students this Term.

PCYC GRIT

Brigitta and Lisa from PCYC have been running the GRIT Program with 15 of our Year 8 students. The students have thoroughly enjoyed learning about how to build their resilience, including having a growth mindset and eating nutritious food.

A big thank you to Brigitta and Lisa!

RUOK? Day

As a whole school, ASC was involved in RUOK Day on the 14th of September. This day raises awareness of the importance of having meaningful conversations that can help others through difficult times. Staff and students enjoyed a free BBQ, photobooth, clothes stall and face painting.

Thank you to all the students and staff that helped on this day.
