Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Celebrating World Teachers’ Day

Today we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, a moment to recognise and thank our incredible teachers for their dedication, and care. Our staff work tirelessly to nurture the minds and hearts of every student, and today we pause to say a big thank-you for all they do. Their commitment to learning and growth makes our school such a special place.

Family Community Night – Save the Date!

We’re excited to announce our Family Community Night on Monday, December 2nd! Join us for a Family Bush Dance and picnic dinner on the school grounds, from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm — featuring the Billy Tea Bush Band. It’s sure to be a fun evening for everyone. Bring a picnic, a comfy picnic rug, join in the dancing, and enjoy a relaxed evening under the stars. Please fill in our expression of interest to help us estimate numbers https://forms.gle/8LUmWaH3ecQypFqr6

To make the night even easier, we are enquiring about having food trucks on site with delicious meal options available for purchase. More information will be sent via Compass, so be sure to check there for updates.

Planning for 2026

As we look ahead, planning for 2026 is already underway. We’re excited to share that our Prep students will begin full-time attendance from Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026. This means our new Preps will no longer have Wednesdays at home during February — a change designed to support consistency and routine from the very start of their school journey.

We’ll continue to share more details about 2026 as planning progresses.

Sir Nick Gibbs

Today I had the privilege of attending a meeting with Sir Nick Gibbs, who served as the Minister of State at the Department for Education in the UK between 26 October 2022 and 13 November 2023.

Sir Nick Gibbs is a distinguished educator and advocate for quality teaching and learning. Our conversation was both inspiring and thought-provoking. We discussed the power of explicit teaching, the importance of supporting teachers through strong professional learning, and how schools can continue to raise expectations while maintaining care and connection.

I walked away, reminded of how lucky we are to work in a profession that truly shapes the future — and how vital it is to continue investing in great teaching and collaboration across our schools.
