From the Assistant Principal, Cocurricular
ISA summer pre-season preparations are well underway, and will continue during the holidays. Week 1 next term will see pre-season games in basketball with Round 1 of the ISA and NSTA competition seasons starting in Week 2, 25 October. The exception being for our 1st XI cricketers who will play their first competition game on 18 October.
We have holiday camps for basketball and cricket, and for the junior students, football camps run by Sydney FC. The Sydney FC camps are not exclusive to St Pius X. These camps are a great way for your son to learn new skills and get them ready for the coming season.
A reminder that all students playing summer sport should ensure they have the correct uniform for their sports. This should be obtained from the Uniform Shop prior to the competition starting.
I thank in advance our sport convenors and coaches for their time and efforts in training and preparing our summer teams for the season.
Please see information in the football section below on the Football Club's AGM and Information Night, which is being held on Tuesday 21 October at 6:30 pm in the Sarto Centre.
I am pleased to announce the following list of our summer sport cocurricular coaches and convenors.
We head into the spring break this weekend and I wish everyone a restful and relaxing holiday.

Basketball Singlet and Shorts Orders
With Round 0 kicking off on Saturday, 18 October, now is the time to ensure your son has his basketball singlet ready to go.
If your son needs to purchase a singlet and shorts, please do so via the link below. When ordering online, be sure to include your son’s year group in the purchase notes, this helps us avoid number clashes across teams.
Please note:
Orders must be placed by the end of the second week of the school holidays at the absolute latest.
Due to the large number of players in our program, processing takes time. Orders placed in Week 1 of Term 4 may not arrive in time for the first games.
A reminder that:
All Year 7 players are required to purchase a singlet and shorts.
All blue loaned singlets are now overdue for return. These must be returned before the internal matches on 18 October.
We appreciate your patience as the College Uniform Shop processes these orders and thank you for your support in helping us prepare for a successful season.

Team Allocations:
In the coming days, your child will receive their team allocation and the division in which they will be playing via Clipboard. These placements have been thoughtfully determined using a combination of grading day results, prior performance data, and the guidelines set by NSTA regulations.
As I step into this role, I want to express my appreciation for your support and understanding during this transition. While every effort has been made to ensure fair and balanced team placements, there may be instances where a student is placed in a division that is higher or lower than anticipated. If your child’s placement raises any concerns, please rest assured that we will review and make appropriate adjustments when forming teams for Term 1, 2026.
