Principal's News

Dear Parents and Carers,
Grandparents Day
Thank you to the many grandparents who joined us last Friday.
It was lovely to see the interaction between students and their grandparents, and then also to see our special guests interacting with one another.
A big thank you to our staff for opening classrooms and filling our spaces with beautiful artwork. I heard numerous comments that spoke of the quality of the artwork and displays.
A special shout-out to our Grade 6 students, who were outstanding hosts and a huge help with set-up and pack-up, and to all our children for making our visitors feel so welcome.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Peter Pan Ticket Information Reminder
Tickets for the evening performances are available via the TryBooking link
To ensure fair access for all families, each family may initially purchase a maximum of two tickets due to venue capacity limits.
- Cost: $10 per ticket
- Funds raised will contribute to the cost of professional technical support for the production.
Families will have until 22nd October to purchase their two tickets. After this date, the remaining tickets will be available for purchase on a first-come, first-served basis should you need more tickets for your family on your allocated night, this is also limited to a maximum of two.
Please note, the extra tickets will more than likely not be seated together.
Entry to the Peter Pan Performance at Trinity College Jubilee Centre will only be permitted with a valid ticket, either in digital QR code format or a hard copy.
If you have purchased tickets for other family members or friends, please ensure that each person has their own ticket before arriving. Unfortunately, anyone who does not present at the door with a valid ticket will not be allowed to enter.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure a smooth and enjoyable event for everyone.
Year 4 Camp to Angelsea
Please be advised the camp will be going ahead as planned. While the weather isn’t looking ideal, our team has prepared a great range of indoor and covered activities to ensure the campers stay dry, comfortable, and have a fantastic experience.
Please make sure your child brings appropriate clothing for the weather (e.g., a rain jacket, spare socks, and warm layers).
School camps are a vital part of learning: they build independence, resilience, teamwork and a sense of belonging while extending students beyond the classroom. Shared challenges grow confidence, curiosity and problem-solving, and they create memories that strengthen class culture for the remainder of the year.. I’m very much looking forward to joining our Year 4 students on Wednesday and Thursday for their annual camp to Anglesea. It’s an excellent chance to see students thrive, celebrate their strengths and support them as they try new things.
My sincere thanks to Ms Tammie and Miss Lynch for their thoughtful planning and dedication to what will be a fun filled two days.
Staffing News
Mrs Lynne Garner is on sick leave for this term, and we wish her well during her treatment and recovery.
Miss Abbey Hayes, a former student of Sacred Heart, will be replacing Mrs Garner during this time. Abbey has recently completed her studies and will bring fresh energy and dedication to our school. Our staff will provide ongoing support to Abbey to ensure a smooth transition for both students and families in 4LG.
Kind regards,
Karl Dwyer
Principal
