Welcome back to Term 4!

As we enter the final stretch of the school year, it’s important that all students remain focused and committed to finishing strongly. This term provides an opportunity to consolidate learning, complete assessments, and reflect on the progress made throughout the year.

Year 12

Our Year 12 students are busily completing their HSC examinations, and we extend our best wishes to them during this important time. Their effort, resilience, and dedication over the past 12 months have been commendable, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements in the coming weeks.

Year 11 Parent Teacher Interviews

Parents and carers of Year 11 students are invited to attend Parent Teacher Interviews on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

This is an important opportunity to discuss your child’s progress, achievements, and areas for further development as they begin their HSC studies. Bookings can be made online through the Parent Portal. This will be open from Monday 27th October.

We encourage all parents to take part and work together with teachers to ensure a strong start to Year 12.

Welcome to the School

We would like to warmly welcome Melissa Wright, who has joined our team as part of the Inclusive Education Centre. Melissa brings valuable experience and enthusiasm to her new role, and we are delighted to have her as part of our school community.

STEM Camp

Recently, a group of students attended the Deadly in Generation STEM Camp, a four-day program held at Baradine. This event brought together 20 Aboriginal students from schools across the North West region to engage in STEM learning on-Country. Participants took part in activities led by Cultural Knowledge Holders, local mentors, and STEM professionals, exploring the intersection between traditional knowledge systems and contemporary STEM pathways. The program’s theme of “Caring for Country” was reflected through immersive experiences at culturally significant sites—an inspiring example of learning grounded in both culture and science.

School Upgrades

We are also nearing the completion of a significant School Infrastructure upgrade, which includes enhancements to the Visual Arts and Clontarf Building and the development of a new Learning Centre at the Howard end. These improvements will provide modern, professional learning spaces to further support student learning and engagement. Additionally, the extension to the front of the building will offer increased shade and shelter to the existing COLA area, creating a more comfortable and functional environment for our students.

As the term continues, let’s maintain our focus, support one another, and ensure we finish 2025 with pride in what we have achieved together.
