✨ Term 4 Update ✨

Term 4 is off to a fantastic start in 1/2! 

In Literacy, we are continuing our daily phonics and morphology program, with students showing great progress in their sound knowledge and spelling skills.  In Writing, students have been learning exciting descriptive writing techniques such asonomatopoeia and similes, adding creativity and detail to their work. It’s been wonderful to see just how much their reading and writing have grown throughout the year. 📚✏️

In Maths, we’ve been exploring location and mapping.  Students have learned how to give and follow directions, use positional language, and even create their own maps to show their understanding. 🗺️🧭

Our Integrated Studies unit this term is Cultural Connections.  We are learning about how people connect to and care for special places, including how Indigenous Australians have deep and ongoing connections to Country and land. 🌏

There’s also plenty to look forward to this term, with exciting events such as the Whole School Colour Run 🏃‍♀️, Junior Camp Day 🏕️, Swimming Week 🏊‍♂️, and Class Parties 🎉 coming up! Keep an eye on Seesaw and Compass for updates and further information in the coming weeks. 📲👀
