Welcome Back!

We’re excited to kick off another busy and exciting term at Rochester Primary School. This term is filled with opportunities for learning and connection, including excursions, incursions, camps, sports, Rochy Playtime, orientation sessions and much more.

For our Grade 6 students, this marks their final term of primary school. We wish them every success as they enjoy this special time and make the most of their last weeks at Rochester Primary. Throughout the term, they will have many opportunities to reflect on their journey and celebrate the wonderful experiences and memories they have created during their years here.

Parent Opinion Survey 

A big thank you to all our families who took the time to complete the Parent Opinion Survey this year. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us continue to make Rochester Primary School an even better place for our students to learn and grow.

As a token of our appreciation, all participating families were entered into our Parent Survey Raffle.

Parent teacher interviews

Our second Parent teacher interviews will be held on-

Wednesday 15th October at 1.30-5.30pm

Booking times are now open and available on XUNO.  Click on the 'School' tab then 'Parent Teacher Interviews'. If you have trouble booking please contact your child's teacher or the office as soon as possible. 

Please see note sent home on Monday with regards to early dismissal (1.30) to allow for class teachers to conduct interviews.

We had a number of parents, staff and family members volunteer to work at the Elmore Field Days. This is a great display of support for our school. Thank you!

Regional Athletics

Good luck to our athletes who will compete in Bendigo on Monday for the chance to make it through to the State athletics. You should all be very proud of making it to this level, it is a huge achievement. Thanks in advance to parents for supporting this event by taking their child on the day.

Uniform - SunSmart 

If has been fantastic to see our students taking responsibility for having their blue school hats here this week. Please keep this up as all students need to have their school hat on to play outside at all times during term 4. 

A friendly reminder, football shorts and football socks are not part of our school uniform.

Road Safety Reminders

Pupil free days - Term 4

Each year schools are granted pupil free days and a Professional Practice Day by the Department. These dates may change each year depending on the needs of the school and must be approved by School Council.  We have two pupil free days this term-  Monday 3rd November and Friday 5th December.  

FOOD FIGHT - Food Bank

Wow! We are so proud of our school for raising valuable funds for Food Bank. We are looking forward to our Food Fight celebration tomorrow. Please ensure students have a change of clothes, they will be unable to participate in school uniform. Thanks to Mr Rasmussen for running this fundraiser.

Christmas Raffle

This week we are launching our Christmas Raffle (formally known as Monster Raffle). Thanks to Nichol Trading for their generous donation of all 3 RBN vouchers. We have 10 prizes in total and the raffle will be drawn at our Christmas Evening on Tuesday 16th December (save the date)!

Please contact the office to collect a book of tickets to sell. Tickets will be in books of 5 and are $5 each. Any un sold tickets must be returned.

Lost Property

We currently have a large amount of jumpers in our lost property collection most of which are unnamed. These are in the Wellbeing room, if your child has lost their jumper please come in and collect it for them. Any not collected will be donated.
