School Lockers
School lockers are important for students to be able to appropriately secure their belongings at school. We have noticed that many student lockers have not been secured with a working lock since returning from the holidays. Pastoral Mentors will be reaching out via email by the end of the week if your child’s locker remains unsecured. Locks are available from the Uniform Shop.
School Hats
A St Mary’s Hat is an essential part of the school uniform. With the weather warming up and as a Sun-Smart School, all students participating in outdoor activities are required to have their hats with them, particularly for Wednesday Sport. Students without their hats in these instances should expect to be issued a consequence and asked to apply sunscreen. St Mary’s caps and bucket hats are available to purchase from the Uniform Shop.
Uniform Change – Health and Physical Education
Kindly note that in Term 4, students return to the classroom for their Health and Physical Education lessons. As such, they are no longer required to wear their sports uniform for HPE, and should instead be dressed in formal uniform on all days except Wednesdays. Please refer to the uniform timetable in the weekly pastoral bulletin for any updates.
Bathroom Etiquette at the College
At the beginning of the term, students have been reminded that multiple students should not be in the toilet cubicles due to privacy and student protection. This is a major behaviour choice due to privacy laws, and the College will respond according to the Whole School Behaviour Support Plan. We appreciate your support in reiterating this message at home.
We have recently provided new bathroom facilities to increase student access, and are currently upgrading the G Block bathrooms and showers. It is disappointing when students are not able to use these appropriately. Students who fail to show dignity and respect for the College facilities will receive appropriate responses from the College Leadership Team.
