IDAHOBIT Day 2026

On the 18th of May, BNPS celebrated IDAHOBIT day. Our school’s inclusion action team (IAT) organised class activities and a stall. Everyone looked so fantastic dressed up in all the colours of the rainbow.

Our students had an opportunity to donate a gold coin to MINUS 18. We collected $407.15, just from the gold coin collection!

For the stall, the IAT members created necklaces, stickers, bracelets and key-chains. Every single item was sold! Our school collected $366.40 to donate to MINUS 18 from the stall. Thank you to all the families who donated supplies to make the bracelets and all the IAT members for working hard all term to create the items.

Altogether our school raised $773.55 for MINUS 18! Thank you for your generous support. This donation will allow MINUS 18 to continue their amazing work helping to create an Australia where all LGBTQIA+ young people are safe, empowered and surrounded by people that support them.

As a whole school activity we decorated strips of paper with kind and inclusive messages,, with Foundation decorating red, 1/2s orange and yellow, 3/4s green and blue and 5/6s indigo and violet. All these messages are on display outside the MPR, combined to create a giant rainbow, celebrating inclusivity and diversity.

Attached are photos showing our whole school at assembly, the IAT stall in action, and our Inclusion Action Team together celebrating their hard work!
