Ryder 1/2N: For showing amazing determination in the LAB this week. You worked hard to type your compound words and thoughtfully enhanced your work by changing the font, adding matching pictures, and creating a border.
Your effort and creativity make you a superstar, Ryder. Keep up the fantastic work!
Amelia 1/2S: For wonderful work telling time to the hour and half hour. She completed her tasks quickly and accurately, drawing the clock hands correctly every time. Keep up the great work!
Liam 1/2C: For excellent work during our Maths lesson learning how to tell the time. You worked carefully when reading the times on the clock, and confidently shared your thoughts with the class. Keep up the amazing work!

Brian & River 3/4 E - Their effort and understanding when solving 2 digit x 2 digit multiplication problems. Well done!
Jacob 3/4 I - For taking the time to plan his narrative in detail through the use of a storyboard. He included illustrations and text to plan out the main events. Well done, Jacob.
Lola 3/4 I - For her effort and understanding of figurative language. Great work Lola.
Skylar & Ava 3/4W - For creating some fantastic similes about themselves. They used creative and descriptive language to help the reader learn more about who they are, and their detailed illustrations matched their similes perfectly. She showed great effort, imagination and attention to detail throughout this task. Well done!

Harmony 5/6T - For creating a highly convincing persuasive piece explaining why Lilydale Primary School should have a therapy dog. Harmony used strong arguments and persuasive language to effectively communicate her ideas. Well done!

Rotary Speech Finalists
Congratulations to Abigail, Zoe, Harmony, Zeze, Gretel, Max, Allecra, Lillian, Lily, Matty, Lily-Grace, and Ichika on being our school finalists in our Rotary Speech competition and presenting their amazing speeches to all of the 5 and 6 students and staff. Matty and Lillian have both been selected to represent LPS in July, and we wish them the best in the next round.
Running Around Australia
We have run a massive 478km last week to make a total of 15,287km this year. We are almost halfway across Bass Strait. Should be back in Melbourne by the end of term.
Recycling
Total raised for sports equipment is $2,489.20. Thank you to those who are sending in their recycling.
