School Production: Costume Notice

Our School Production, ‘Maria’s Mask’ will be taking place on Wednesday 12th August, 2026 at 7pm, at George Wood Theatre.

In preparation for this exciting event, we are asking parents and carers to help by organising a costume for their child. Below you will find your child’s year level character/theme, along with suggested clothing and accessories to help our students look fantastic on stage.

Please organise these costume items as soon as possible. If you are unable to source any of the suggested items, please let us know so we can ensure every child has a suitable costume for the production.

Please label all clothing and accessories clearly.

Children will need to bring their costumes to school on Friday 7th August for our Whole School Dress Rehearsal. A professional photographer will be at school, on this day, to take production photos, which will be available for purchase after the performance.

Please note: After the dress rehearsal, the next time your child will need their costume will be on the night of the performance. Please dress your child at home and bring them to the theatre ready to perform. Any costume pieces provided by the school will be given to your child at the theatre.

Class costumes:

Year Level: Preps 

Character/Theme: street urchins

Suggested Clothing/Accessories: black or brown pants, white collared shirt (preferred) or black or white t-shirt.

School Will Provide: beige suspenders

Year Level: 1/2 

Character/Theme: Dancers 

Suggested Clothing/Accessories: Black pants/leggings, black t-shirt, optional gold item (see below*)

School Will Provide:

Outfit # 1: Star accessory

Outfit #2- gold accessory -school will provide something for your child to wear (vest, scarf, tie, etc) *your child is welcome to add extra gold by wearing a skirt, dress, tie, shirt or accessories that are gold in colour)

Year Level: 3/4 

Character/Theme: Circus/ Ghostbusters

Suggested Clothing/Accessories for Circus:

Acrobats: leggings (any colour, solid coloured singlet or t-shirt (any colour, but no images/prints)

Magicians: black pants, white collared shirt(preferred) or white or black t-shirt

Strong People: black pants or shorts, white t-shirt (no prints)

Clowns: Blue- blue jeans or baggy pants- any colour, plain t-shirt (any colour-no prints)

School Will Provide:    Acrobats: belt/scarf                   Magicians: vest and bowtie

Strong People: armbands                Clowns: clown clothes and accessories.

Year Level: 5/6 

Character/Theme: Dancers (Fame) & Choir (‘Fix You’)

Suggested Clothing/Accessories: Black pants or leggings, black tshirt (no prints), optional neon accessory (sweatbands, leg warmers, necklace, etc *)

No additional outfit it needed for the song Fix You.

School Will Provide: pop of neon colour *students are welcome to add more neon to their outfit. 

Individual Characters: Information regarding this will be sent home with your child.
