This remarkable achievement follows months of dedication, innovation, teamwork, and perseverance from our students, who have competed against some of the nation’s strongest STEM Racing teams throughout the season.

STEM Racing is an internationally recognised competition that challenges students to design, manufacture, test, and race miniature Formula-style cars while developing skills in engineering, project management, marketing, communication, and teamwork. Students are responsible for all aspects of the program, mirroring the operations of a professional engineering team.

At the recent National Finals held at St Bede’s College in Mentone, Team Typhoon demonstrated exceptional professionalism and technical capability across multiple competition categories. A standout achievement was the team’s engineering and manufacturing scrutiny score of 74 out of 80, reflecting the high standard of design, manufacturing precision, and technical understanding demonstrated throughout the competition.

Qualifying for the World Finals is an extraordinary accomplishment and provides students with the opportunity to compete against teams from across the globe while representing their school, community, Victoria, and Australia on the international stage.

The World Finals, to be held in Singapore later this year, will see Team Typhoon continue refining their engineering design, presentation skills, and team performance as they prepare to compete against some of the world’s best young STEM innovators.

This achievement would not have been possible without the commitment of our students, the support of families, staff, sponsors, and the wider school community. We congratulate Team Typhoon on this outstanding success and look forward to following their journey as they prepare to represent Australia at the STEM Racing World Finals.

Support Team Typhoon

This is a remarkable achievement and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our students to showcase their talents, represent their schools, and proudly represent Australia internationally. However, participation in the World Finals comes with significant costs, including international travel, accommodation, competition fees, equipment, uniforms, and team development expenses. Team Typhoon is seeking the support of our wider community to help make this journey possible.

Every donation, no matter the size, will directly support the students as they prepare for and compete at the World Finals in Singapore this October. If you would like to support Team Typhoon, donations can be made via the following GoFundMe page.
