Cultural Day

Everyday Matters

Cultural Day

Our recent Cultural Day, celebrated on the 29th of May, was a standout event on the Homestead calendar, bringing together students, staff and families in a meaningful celebration of the cultural diversity within our community. As members of Student Voice, we were proud to help organise and set up the event, from arranging food donations to preparing displays, and ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout the day.

One of the highlights was seeing the incredible amount of food that was generously donated by families and students. The variety of dishes allowed everyone to experience and appreciate different cultures through cuisine. We extend a sincere thank you to everyone who provided a dish to share; your generosity and support helped make this special part of the day possible and was greatly appreciated by all.

It was also wonderful to see so many students dressed in traditional clothing, proudly representing their backgrounds and adding colour and vibrancy to the day.

The cultural performances were another standout feature, showcasing the talents, traditions and creativity of our students and teachers. The enthusiasm and support from the audience made the performances even more memorable.

Thank you to all performers, staff, and students who contributed to the showcase, as well as those who supported the event behind the scenes. Your involvement played an important role in making Cultural Day a memorable and meaningful celebration for our entire college community.

We look forward to sharing more exciting ideas from the Student Voice team soon.
