Year 11 VCE VM Numeracy Excursion to Werribee Open Range Zoo

As part of their Numeracy curriculum, our Year 11 VCE VM students recently visited Werribee Open Range Zoo for an engaging and practical learning experience.

The excursion provided students with the opportunity to explore the zoo while applying real-world numeracy skills. From planning their journey and mapping transport routes to navigating the zoo's layout, students experienced firsthand how numeracy is used in everyday situations. The visit forms part of an ongoing project that highlights the importance of accurate calculations and problem-solving in real-life contexts.

Students had a fantastic day exploring a wide range of animals, visiting Dinosaur World, enjoying the safari experience, and observing animals roaming across the savannah. The excursion was both educational and enjoyable, allowing students to connect classroom learning with authentic experiences while creating lasting memories with their peers.
