Show Season 2026

Armidale Show
On Friday, 6th March, an eager group of students made the long and perilous journey across the road to the Armidale Show. Here, they aimed to hone their judging skills in sheep and cattle, fruit and veggie judging.
Many of our students were there with their own families or participating in other activities (such as the horse sports), which goes to show how involved our students are with community events and how passionate they are about their interests.
We had many winners for the junior judging:
- Faith Fittler - 3nd (Junior) Fruit and Veg
- Dom Miller - 2nd (Senior) Fruit and Veg and 3rd (Senior) Merino Sheep
- Harry Faint - 4th (Junior) Fruit and Veg
- Pippi McClelland - 4th (Intermediate) Merino Sheep
- Ben Cox - 1st (Intermediate) Meat Sheep
Our dedicated cattle team worked very hard to make sure the cattle were ready to strut their stuff in the ring. While we didn't have any wins in the Junior Paraders, we are very proud of everyone who got up and had a go.
On Saturday, our Devons and their leaders impressed the judges with Not-A-Lot Matilda (led by Dom) and Not-A-Lot Wilf (led by Mr Tout) taking out Supreme Champion Devon and Not-A-Lot Chelsea (led by Ollie) taking out Reserve Champion Devon.
Walcha Show
Friday, 13th March saw another eager group of students journey to Walcha show, our final show of the season.
Once again, our talented students showed their expertise in judging merino and meat sheep and cattle. Many of our students were chosen to give speeches and presented themselves very well. Ollie Starr won 3rd in the Junior Meet Sheep.
In the afternoon, a selection of students entered the ring to do some parading. Lucy Selby represented a different stud and came 2nd for her age division.
We woke to a chilly morning on Saturday, and it was time for the cattle to strut their stuff. A big thank you to the students who stuck around, helping Not-A-Lot Chelsea (led by Ollie Starr) take out Supreme Champion Devon and Not-A-Lot Valentina take out Reserve Champion Devon.
I would like to thank all the students for their excellent behaviour and their respect for the organisers and animals at all 3 shows this year. I would also like to thank Mrs Hogan, Mr Towler and Mr Tout for making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible over the 3 shows. See you all there next year!
