Exciting News from Our Library!

Dear Students and Parents,

We have some magical events and competitions happening in our library this term:

Drawing and Writing Competitions at Inner West Libraries

• Drawing Competition (Years K-2)
  • Theme: Reading is Magic
  • Task: Draw a picture of a wonderful and magical place.
• Writing Competition (Years 3-6)
  • Theme: Reading is Magic
  • Task: Write a short story about a wonderful and magical place.

Book Week

• Theme: Reading is Magic
• Activities: All students in K-6 will be reading books from the shortlist and participating in learning activities related to these texts. These activities will integrate all key learning areas, combining both educational and fun elements.

Key Dates:

• School Book Parade: Monday, 19th August
  • What to Do: Students are encouraged to dress up as their favorite book characters and join the parade. We will also be running a book donation table where you can donate a book for our library.
• Author Visit: Tuesday, 20th August
  • We are excited to have a special author visit to inspire and engage our students with their stories and experiences.
