Congratulations to all the parents who came along to our Parent Formation sessions over the last couple of weeks. This begins our program for 2024, arming themselves for preparation of their children and we wish and pray for our First Holy Communion candidates in the lead up to their special day in September.
Did you know that Eucharist means Thanksgiving? This is one of our school pillars. The term 'Eucharist' originates from the Greek word eucharistia, meaning Thanksgiving. In the celebration of the Eucharist, bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Next week, on Wednesday 7th August, the Ephesus and Galilee Communities are collaborating to celebrate the feast of St 'Mary of the Cross' MacKillop. All of our families and friends are welcome to come and join us in the church for this occasion on Wednesday.
The official feast day for the feast is Thursday, however St Peter's College are celebrating mass on that day in the Church so we have moved to our usual Wednesday for the celebration of mass.
The following week, on Thursday 15th August, the Holy Day for Mary's Assumption is going to be celebrated by the Bethlehem & Jericho Communities. All welcome to join us for this one too!
