Charlton College Structured Workplace Learning Program provides students with an opportunity to link with local businesses and learn lifelong skills for future employment.
This week we would like to give a special mention to Beau Johnstone, our Year 11 student who has completed a semesters placement with St Joseph’s Primary School and is now is completing his Structured Workplace Learning placement each Wednesday at the Charlton Op Shop.
Beau is enjoying the change of environment where he can interact and help another community group. Beau assists with displays, customer service, cash handling, cleaning and sorting. The Charlton Op Shop is thrilled to have a student who has fantastic IT Skills as this provides them with the opportunity to update their advertisements. Charlton Neighbourhood House are providing Beau with access to a computer program called Canva and a space where he can develop his IT skills and make use of his St Joseph’s laminating skills.
Beau has a passion for Youth Work, working with children and assisting his community.
NCLLEN is dedicated to supporting Charlton College students with work-based learning opportunities. This partnership offers students valuable opportunities to build important skills for their future careers.
Thank you St Joseph’s Primary School, Charlton Op Shop and Charlton Neighbourhood House.
