Potato Olympics

Grade 5/6A

Students in grade 5/6A created an Olympic athlete using an uncooked potato. We researched our athlete’s country and created a poster to show our learning. Our athlete then participated in three events: skiing, bowling and archery. A lot of fun was had!

Grade 5/6C

On Friday 2 August we held the potato Olympics. Students sourced a potato, dressed it as an athlete and then participated in events like "distance running, diving, trampoline, balance beam and rhythmic dance" which involved lots of great math skills. Everyone had a blast competing and at the end we held a medal ceremony for all the winners.

Grade 5/6 Leaders

On Monday 5 August grade 5/6 leaders were lucky to spend time making clay beads with the kindergarten children. It was so lovely to see certain skills and qualities in our senior students; explaining, supporting, sharing and overall being kind! It appears we may have some early childhood educators in our midst!

Well done everyone, you represented our school so well.

Basketball Clinic

Foundation to grade six students enjoyed a basketball session on Monday 6 August with Mark, Eric and Tyler from Basketball Victoria. Thanks boys for your encouragement, our students had so much fun.
