Confirmation Candidates Visit Our Parishioners

On Wednesday, our Year 6 Confirmation candidates spent some time connecting with the senior members of the parish, in the lead up to their confirmation on Saturday. Our students conversed with the parishioners, swapping stories and learning about each other for a short time, building those important connections between the generations of the church. It was lovely to see it in action, and even more wonderful was to hear the kind words many of the parishioners had to say about our students. They were impressed by their confidence, knowledge and caring attitudes. Our Year 6 students are a credit to the school and to their families. Well done everyone.

The First Annual Tech Olympics

On Friday, I had the pleasure of taking four of our Year 6 students along to participate in the first ever Tech Olympics!

It was hosted by Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Primary School in Donvale. The teachers, sponsors and technology leaders made everyone feel welcome and kept us engaged in a range of activities that challenged us from start to finish.

We participated in a variety of events that included coding, gaming, data transfer, problem solving and design. The activities were a lot of fun and at times, extremely challenging, but we got through them all and worked together as a team.

Well done to Elodie, Kirralee, Jackson and Elliot for their enthusiasm and team spirit. I can’t wait to take our future ‘techletes’ to next year's Olympics!
