This week in Maths, Grade 2 students will continue their studies of algebraic thinking and explore the use of the strategy of doubling to solve multiplication problems.

VOCABULARY

Doubling is the addition of two groups. 

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

With your child, practise the doubling strategy by rolling a dice or using a randomer to pick a number to solve multiplication problems together AND/OR solve this multiplication problem using the doubling strategy.
