  • 3-6 House Athletics Day.

State Cross Country

Congratulations to Jaz on her amazing efforts in competing at the Victorian State Cross Country Championships, representing our school with grit and determination. What a wonderful effort, Jaz! We are so proud.

Please read below to hear Jaz’s recap from the day!

Last Thursday, I competed at the State Championships for cross country at Yarra Glen. All year I have been training for and competing in all the levels of School Sports Victoria cross country. I managed to come first at school, District and Division level. At the Region Championships, I vomited during the course but I managed to catch up and qualify for States. It was freezing cold at States and the mud splatter covered all the runners but it was a great day. I loved seeing girls from last year and chatting with them. Everyone was so kind and supportive. By Jaz D, 5E

Division Soccer

After some amazing games in the District Tournament, our Year 6 girls soccer team were selected to go through to the next round, the Division Tournament. On Wednesday last week, our soccer team went through to compete at the tournament at Keilor Park.

The girl's team had two games. The first being against Strathmore, which was decided in penalty shootouts. The second game was against St Cristopher's. Both games were absolute nail biters with plenty of goals scored.

Throughout the day, the girls played better and better and were working as a cohesive team, communicating and encouraging each other. There was a beautiful team spirit that was infectious and the girls also were very supporting and encouraging of their tough competition.

We are grateful to the parent helpers and supporters that came along on the day to help proceedings and make the day memorable.

Well done to our girls team!
