Year 3, 4, 5 and 6

In celebration of NAIDOC week students read 'From Country With Love' which is spoken through the words and artwork of Emma Gibbens and Rhys Paddick. The book explores connection to Country, culture and community. The main idea of the story is to pause and notice our connection to mother earth and each other, bringing us closer together and realising that no matter where we are from we have a lot in common. 

Students were encouraged to reflect on these themes and respond through drawings guided by Rys Paddick's artwork. Using white pen on black paper students shared moments in their lives where they felt like they were 'home'.
