Campaspe Junior & Intermediate Girls Football

Campaspe Junior and Intermediate Girls Football was played on Tuesday 23rd July in Nathalia.

Our intermediate team started the day against a tough opponent, St Joseph’s. They took a little bit to get going in the game, but after a few changes, the team settled and managed to win the second half. Unfortunately, they fell short overall, losing 9-27.

Next up, they took on St Aug’s, against whom they played some high-quality footy. The pressure around the ball saw very few forward entries for them and a number of our girls on the scoreboard. RSC came away with the win 37-0.

Finally, the girls came up against SMOTA with some very tough contests and brilliant backline pressure, which saw the girls victorious with a 25-0 win. All girls played extremely well all day and showed huge improvement. Goal kickers: Chance Powles 3, Remy Cowan, Zahara Ali 2, Hannah Harbour, Ziah Haines, Taya Munro, Paige Simmie, Maddie Howard, Kasey Stone, Lexie McKenzie 1 Best players for the day: Kassidy Cail, Chance Powles, Remy Cowan, Maddie Howard, and Kasey Stone.

Our junior team started with a great win against St Aug's, during which they displayed some good skills and teamwork. The girls developed their tackling pressure, intensity, and confidence throughout the day, culminating in an incredible win against Ky P-12.
