Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

Public Speaking Competition

Our recent Holy Family Public Speaking Competition was a fantastic event. This year's finalists demonstrated the power of eloquence, confidence, and persuasive language which amazed everyone who had the pleasure of listening to their speeches. Our public speaking finalists showcased not only their talent but also their dedication and hard work. The competition was tough, with each student delivering compelling speeches on a range of topics. Their ability to articulate ideas clearly, engage the audience, and present with poise was truly inspiring.

The finalists exhibited exceptional public speaking skills, including strong vocal projection, effective body language, and the ability to connect with the audience. Their confidence and presence on stage were highly commendable and I am extremely proud of each student. It takes immense courage to speak in front of an audience, and each of these students rose to the challenge with grace and determination. Their hard work and exceptional performances have made our school community proud. They have definitely set an extremely high standard for future competitions.

A special thank you to our dedicated teachers, staff and parents who have supported and guided our students throughout their preparation for this competition. Your encouragement and mentorship have been invaluable.

Visit from Catholic Schools NSW (CSNSW) and Conference of Diocesan Directors (CCD)

Next Wednesday, 15 members from CSNSW and CSBB including Danny Casey will visit Holy Family to observe Collaborative Coaching in action. This is a great opportunity to showcase the school's commitment to enhancing student learning. With our goal this year focusing on student improvement in writing and oral language skills, this visit will highlight the progress and innovative approaches we are implementing.

Katherine W. and Boris S., our Year One Public Speaking finalists, will have an opportunity to present their prepared speeches to our visitors. Year Two students will show their understanding and knowledge of oral language skills using Tier words through games.

There will be a display of students' writing to delight our visitors.

I have enormous pride in the students' dedication to their learning. Their hard work and enthusiasm are key to the success of initiatives like Collaborative Coaching and the overall improvement in writing and oral language skills. This visit will be a testament to the collective efforts of both the students and the staff.
