Regional Cricket

Our ENPS Cricket Year Six Gala Days started early in March, where we played in our district with schools like Aberfeldie, Strathmore, Strathmore North, Essendon, Niddrie and a few more. There were some schools with talented players but our team went undefeated with our closest win against Niddrie (3 runs). We aced our district and moved onto Divisionals, where we beat yet another team, called Holy Rosary Kensington. That school had topped their league with one loss but we beat them by 80 runs, 80 - 160. 

Onto yes, Regionals. Our region had some very strong teams. Our first game was against Overnewton where we won comfortably with a very good last over from our bowling side. Then our biggest challenge came. We were up against Kingsville Primary and they played very well and beat us. But we had a big response in our next game against Braemar College, where we lost by only 3 runs. This game was decided on the very last ball of the match.

We sadly went 1-2 on our final day, but our team was good enough to get two extra days off at Divisionals and Regionals, and have a very successful year of cricket. We are super proud of our efforts.
