大家好! Hello everyone!
We have been busy exploring Chinese Language across the school for the past few weeks. Foundation have begun inquiring into how ‘People share stories in many ways’. Students have been introduced to colours in Chinese and traditional folktales, songs and dances. We can’t wait to see them perform and show off their knowledge at the end of term.
Year One have been using learnt language (我喜欢/请给我) to express their likes and dislikes of and ask for fruit. In the last weeks of term students will use this learnt language to perform in a class play with their peers!
Year Two students have been using their prior knowledge of Chinese colours along with learnt language about different feelings to create a Zones of Regulation poster. Students are now using this knowledge of emotions to design a shadow puppet character in the final weeks of term.
Year Three students have been learning language about expressing their like of different festivals and using their Chinese number knowledge to explore Celebration and Commemoration dates. In the coming weeks students will develop their questioning skills further to engage with their peers and find out the classes preferred celebration and commemoration.
