Finding God in all things
As part of our school’s strategic plan, we are committed to deepening our understanding of Ignatian spirituality. This path invites us to discover the extraordinary within the ordinary and encourages every member of our community to seek and find God in all things, whether in the classroom, out in the yard, in creative expression or simply in moments of quiet reflection.
Ignatian spirituality, inspired by St Ignatius of Loyola, teaches us that God is present throughout our daily lives, not just in the sacred or the special, but in every person, place, and moment. It is an invitation to look beyond the surface and recognise the divine in our relationships, our work, and even our challenges. By cultivating awareness, gratitude, and openness, we can find deeper meaning and purpose in our journey together.
To bring this concept to life, staff, students, and parents have collaborated to produce a video clip. In it, members of our community share their own experiences of finding God in all things, whether through acts of kindness, moments of joy and connection, or the simple beauty found in nature around our school grounds. Their reflections are a testament to the richness and diversity of our spiritual life here at school.
We warmly invite you to watch the clip and reflect on how you, too, might find God in the everyday moments of your life.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this special project. May we continue to find God in all things, today and every day.

Community Mass
We enjoyed the leadership of students in Year 7 at Community Mass this morning. Thank you to all students who made such excellent contributions as readers, singers, altar ministers or participants. It was also lovely to welcome parents.
We proclaimed the readings for the 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time – which we will hear at parish Masses this weekend. These readings encourage God’s people to pray with sincere hearts. Pope St John XXIII echoed this sentiment in his thoughts on prayer, summarised in the quote below.
Next Friday, 31 October students and families are invited to attend Community Mass, which will be prepared by College staff – to mark World Teachers’ Day in Australia. Come along and pray with and for teachers!
If you have any questions about Community Mass, please contact Mary-Anne Lumley.
