Principal's Message

Junior Athletics Day

What a wonderful day our Junior Athletics Day was! It was fantastic to see our Prep, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students eagerly participating in a range of fun and challenging activities. Throughout the day, students demonstrated our REACH values in so many ways, showing respect to the Grade 6 helpers, encouraging their peers, showing ambition and doing their best, considering the needs of others, and being honest about their placings.

A big thank you to the many families who came along to cheer on their children and stayed for the family picnic. It’s always great to see our community come together for events like this. A special thank you also to Lachie Sperling for organising the day, and to our Grade 6 students who did a fantastic job running the events.

Term 4 Reminders

Term 4 is always a busy time with lots happening both inside and outside the classroom. We encourage all parents to keep up to date with Compass notifications, as this is our main form of communication and where all event details are shared. Please remember that, for a number of reasons, we are unable to accept late payments for events and excursions, so we ask that all payments are made by the due date.

Grade 3 students in 2026

Parents will  be requested to purchase their child an iPad to individually own and use at school.  Rollins PS will continue with ‘Bring Your Own Device’ program as in previous years for grades 3 to 6.  The Department of Education’s new policy commencing in 2027 allows students who have been using BYO device to continue to bring their devices to school for the remainder of their schooling.

A minimum Apple Ipad 64Gb Wi-Fi 10th Generation is required.  The school recommends you purchase from PCD, Mercer Street, Geelong, or any JB HiFi, Officeworks, Target or Big W stores.
