Foundation Excursion Excitement!

Our Foundation students recently embarked on their very first school excursion — a wonderful visit to Myuna Farm in Doveton! The day was filled with excitement, discovery, and lots of smiles as students explored and learned in a hands-on environment.
This excursion was closely linked to our Knowledge-Rich Unit on Biological Science: Living and Non-Living Things, where students have been learning about what living things need to survive. The visit to the farm provided the perfect opportunity for our young scientists to see their learning come to life!
Throughout the day, students took part in five engaging activities — the Farm Show, Paddock Feeding, Train Ride, Animal Nursery, and Produce Gardening.
They particularly loved feeding the farm animals and meeting the adorable baby animals in the nursery. There was also plenty of excitement (and bravery!) when students got to meet and even hold reptiles during the Farm Show.

It was a big day filled with fun, learning, and happiness, and our Foundation students returned to school with plenty of stories to share and new knowledge about the living world around them.
