SCC Primary Soccer Teams

The primary soccer roster commenced on Saturday, 6th April.  It was wonderful to see so many eager, energetic and excited young players taking the field!

Japanese Children's Day celebration

The national Japanese holiday 'Kodomo no hi' – Children's Day is about encouraging children to be strong and resilient and wishing them health and happiness.

 

City of Hobart invites children and their families to come and experience this traditional cultural celebration together.

  • Meet the adorable bonito fish Yai Chan, Yaizu City's mascot
  • Make your own koinobori (carp streamer) and origami samurai helmet
  • Try some traditional Japanese games
  • Have a go at taiko drumming or calligraphy
  • Make some yummy Japanese sweets and treats
  • Watch some amazing cultural performances

Tasmanian Institute of Sport Talent ID for 2023

The Tasmanian Institute of Sport are running testing as part of our ‘Talent ID for 2032’ Program and we’re working to get the word into schools. The Program is aimed at identifying talented Tasmanian athletes aged 14-22 in preparation for the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games.

 

Testing is being held this school holidays with testing days in Hobart on 22 April, Launceston on 24 April and Devonport on 26 April.
