Stations of the Cross- He has risen!

It was wonderful to come together as a learning community to acknowledge The Risen Christ, which occurred on Easter Sunday at the beginning of the school holidays. The students did a magnificent job at acting out the stations of the cross in the final week of last term. Understanding and 'walking in the shoes of Jesus and his followers' was a powerful act in learning what happened to Jesus in his final days. 

~ First Parish Mass for the term ~

On Friday 3rd May we will be attending our first Parish Mass of the term. Mass begins at 11:30am and goes for approximately 45 minutes. We welcome anyone who would like to join us to do so. 

Catholic Education Week 

Catholic Education Week commences in Week 3, it is almost upon us (April 28th - May 4th). What perfect way to highlight all that makes us unique here at St Joseph's, and to celebrate the distinctive mission of Catholic schools. There will be a variety of sessions held at the school (Open Day Tours, Whole School Mass ect) which our community are welcome to attend- more info to come!

Caritas ~ Project Compassion

It has been wonderful seeing our children get involved in raising much needed funds for Caritas this year. An incredible effort from everyone involved. This year we raised a total of $540!! This amount was beyond our wildest expectations, but it just goes to show the dedication  of our school community in looking out for those who are in need, which is what Project Compassion is all about. 

Just like the Royal Children's Hospital Appeal...I wonder if each year we can surpass our efforts the following year?!

~ Sacramental Program ~

Due to such low numbers of children requiring the Sacramental Program this year, we have decided to postpone this years group until next year, so they can form a larger group of children and families who will be completing their Reconciliation, Confirmation and Eucharist. Although sad, the organisation, effort and desire to connect as a community has been considered, and we believe this is the best decision for all involved.
