ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Ben Hawthorn

Next Friday March 22nd is National Ride2School Day and boy do we have a great day planned. We will kick off the day from 8.15am with a healthy breakfast of fruit, pancakes, and yogurt. This year Echuca Regional Health are supporting us with some great prizes as we spread the message of the great health and environmental benefits that come with active travel.

We have prizes for the best decorated bikes with our secret judges deciding on the winners over the breakfast period. Last year we had some amazing looking bikes so start decorating for your chance to win. All students that actively make their way to school will go into the draw for some other great prizes.

Any students that can’t ride to school, walking to school from home or a designated drop off point will also get them into the draw to win. We have some great paths in the East so dropping off and riding or walking to school is a wonderful option. The Bicycle network has produced a map of Echuca East which outlines some of these options.

Remember the safety of our students is paramount so please ensure that all students riding anything with wheels have a well fitted helmet.

We are looking forward to a huge day of celebrations and can’t wait to see you all on your bikes next week.
