We are excited to celebrate our special Grandparents' Day this Friday, 24th July at the Primary Campus. The day will start with a liturgy in the Primary Hall at 12.30pm, followed by a picnic lunch. Infants students will travel to the Primary by bus. Please do not park in the bus bay, to ensure the safety of our Infants students.

Note: Due to a funeral in the church earlier in the morning tomorrow, please ensure you enter the school grounds through the main front gate for safety and respect. Thank you.

K, 3 & 6 Family Mass - this Sunday

Gallery Image

Please join us this Sunday, 26th July as a Parish and School Community at our first Family Mass for the term. Mass will begin at 9.00am.

This Sunday is the official Grandparents Day, falling on the Feast of St. Ann and St Joachim. ‘I will never forget you’ (Is 49:15) is the theme chosen by the Holy Father, Pope Leo for the Sixth World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly which aims to emphasise how God's love for each person never fails.

Taken from the book of the prophet Isaiah, the chosen verse is intended to be a message of consolation and hope for all grandparents and the elderly, especially those who live in solitude or feel forgotten. At the same time, it is a call to families and communities not to forget them, recognising them as a precious presence and a blessing.

Students from Kinder, Year 3 & Year 6 are encouraged to volunteer for readings and other roles, as well as providing some goodies for morning tea after Mass. All families, including any visiting grandparents, are welcome to attend.

We also welcome members of our school community to join us in celebrating "Book Week" and see our wonderful students parade in their favourite book character costumes.

We are very excited to give the students at St Edward’s Primary School the opportunity to participate in the 2026 NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge.

Every student at the Infants Campus will automatically be signed up for the challenge and read books from the challenge as part of their class and library sessions.

Primary students wanting to participate in this year's challenge will need to see Mrs Michell in the library to sign up.

Students are encouraged to log onto the PRC website from home to log their books, or Mrs Michell can log them in the library. Students should now start to log the books they have read. Students can also discover books that are part of the PRC using the link above. If you have any problems with logging books or accessing, please reach out.

If you have any questions, please reach out.
