Weekly Overview
The windy chills are in the air, but that doesn't stop the activities at HTS. Our primary students participated and battled the cold on the Inverell Netball Gala Day - thanks to those who helped the day run smoothly and those who umpired and took teams.
Furthermore some of our Year 6 students took part in debating. They performed with pride and are building their confidence to communicate and refute arguments from other schools in our diocese. Well done debaters!
Student Reports
In the coming weeks, your child's report will be finalised and accessed. Students will be graded from A-E. Students who receive an A or B reach and display levels of learning above the outcome standard from the syllabus. Those who receive a C display a level of learning at the stage/year level. If a child receives a D or E, this indicates that they have displayed a level of learning below the standard according to the NSW Syllabus.
For students in Years 3-6 there is a new element and way in which the report will look for the English and Mathematic Strands. The new areas are

We encourage you to consider entering your child into ICAS this year.
How to participate in ICAS If you wish for your child to participate in ICAS this year, please:
1. Read about ICAS subjects and prices here: (icasassessments.com/products-icas/)
2. Go to Parent Portal to purchase tests here:(shop.icasassessments.com/pages/pps)
3. Enter our school’s access code – [insert access code] (Our code is XEQ247)
4. Enter your child’s details, and select the tests you would like to purchase.
All payments must be done online as this is an external assessment.
English: 12-16 August
Mathematics: 26-30 August
Science: 19-23 August
