Paul Litherland - Cyber Safety Workshop
Last Wednesday students from Year 4 to Year 6 attended a Cyber Safety Workshop with Paul Litherland. From 2009 to 2014, Paul worked within the West Australian Police Force Technology Crime Investigation Unit. He saw the dangers of the online world and recognised the need to provide families and children the skills to protect themselves.
In the evening, Parents and Caregivers had the opportunity to attend the workshop and were provided with information and resources on how best to protect their families when they are online.
The presentation points from the Surf Online Safe Internet Awareness have been emailed to all parents today.
Paul also supplied templates of guidelines that can be used for students with new devices and contracts that can be used for the responsible use of devices and social media which were also shared in the email sent today.
A reminder to all families that they have access to JAMF Parent as a way of monitoring their child's school-owned iPad. Information on how to set up JAMF Parent on your phone is available here.
