From the Principal - forthcoming parent session

I warmly invite and encourage you to attend a parent information session with Trish Coelho from Real Schools on Thursday, 8th August, at 6:00pm in the school’s Performing Arts Centre (PAC). Our staff carpark will be open for all attending.

This session will explore how we can align school and home strategies to manage behaviour, encourage responsibility, and improve the chances of success for our students. Often, parents and schools are not on the same page, but Wangaratta High School is committed to changing that through our partnership with Real Schools. We need your involvement at this critical event for the future of our children. Trish will discuss the Restorative Practices Partnership, provide immediate strategies for parenting, and share ways to build a meaningful partnership with the school. Join us to learn how to respond rather than react to your child's behaviour and to help shape a unified approach to their education.

Trish Coelho is our Expert Facilitator and will be leading the presentation, having worked with us since the start of 2024. She has spent her whole career as a teacher, principal, and system leader, bringing quality education to students living in regional and rural NSW.

Her ability to coach and mentor has enabled schools to thrive, set new directions and challenge the status quo, within an environment of positive risk taking. She is compassionate to the demands placed upon leaders and is a creative thinker in her problem-solving approach.
