Dance Concert Rehearsal and Dance Concert Information

TODAY - THURSDAY 21 NOVEMBER 2024 Rehearsal for all XC Thursday and Friday Dance Classes (KINDER - YEAR 12) 3.20 - 5.30PM AND ALL MUSICAL THEATRE STUDENTS (YEARS 3 - 9)
DRESS REHEARSAL TOMORROW FOR ALL STUDENTS - Friday 22 November 2024:

The students will need to bring their costumes/ shoes labelled costume bags to school. Students who are in more than one number will need to drop their costumes in a costume bag at Massie/ Junior reception when they arrive at school. If your daughter is only in one dance they can take their costume to the classroom and bring it to the rehearsal. Hair and makeup is NOT required for the dress rehearsal. Please ensure all clothes/ shoes are labelled clearly so they can be returned if misplaced. NO HAIR PIECES/ACCESSORIES (only hats) for the dress rehearsal please keep them safe at home. Please ensure all costumes/uniforms/ shoes are LABELLED!

The dress rehearsal will run TOMORROW during the school day Friday 22 November.

All students in the afternoon performance (All Dance/ Musical Theatre in Year 4/ Year 5/ Year 6 and Senior students/ Senior Dance Troupe) will be required to stay at school until 4.30pm on Friday 22 November and will be brought down to the carline to be collected.

No XC Dance or Musical Theatre will run after school on FRIDAY 22 NOVEMBER. Kindergarten - Year 3 students will finish school at the regular time.

House Meetings - Monday 2 December, 2024

We will be hosting Year 3 to Year 6 House Meetings on Monday 2 December, 2024. Students are asked to bring their lunches and gather in House groups.

To build House Spirit we ask Year 3 to Year 6 students to be in Sport Uniform with House shirts on Monday 2 December.

Preparation Nativity Concert - Tuesday 3 December , 2024 - Music Performance Theatre - 9.45 - 10.00am

Kindergarten Christmas Concert - Wednesday 4 December 2024 - Music Performance Theatre - 9.30 - 10.00am

On Wednesday 4 December Kindergarten will be performing their Christmas Concert at 9.30am. Parents are invited to attend. We ask that the girls come to school for this special performance dressed in a White or a Red dress (nothing too long please) and suitable shoes or sandals. Please begin preparing this outfit and make sure your daughter is dressed in it on the day. Thank you very much,

Year 2 Mini Swimming Carnival - Wednesday 4 December, 2024 - 11.30am - 12.30pm - Playfair Pool

We are very excited to announce that Year 2 will compete in a Mini Swimming Carnival taking place in Week 8 on Wednesday 4 December from 11.30am - 12.30pm am in the Kambala Playfair pool.

This is a student only event that is a fantastic opportunity for Year 2 students to use their swimming skills in a competition.

Every student in Year 2 will participate in 3 events, freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. The focus of the carnival is fun, personal best and also aims to set Year 2 students up to succeed as they prepare to attend their first Junior School Swimming Carnival early in Term 1, 2025. A letter will be sent, via Sundial next week to Year 2 parents and carers that will contain further details of this event and what students will need to bring.

Both Year 2 classes have been working so hard on their swimming this term and we can’t wait to see them in action.

Year 2 Merit Assembly - Friday 6 December, 2024 - 9.00-10.30am

Year 2 Merit Assembly will be held on Friday 6 December, 2024 from 9.00 - 10.30am in the Music Performance Theatre at Kambala.

Parents of girls in Year 2 are warmly invited to attend.

Carols on Tivoli Lawn - Sunday 8 December, 2024 - Tivoli Lawn, Kambala - Gates open at 6.30pm (Carols start at 7.00pm)

Wet Weather Plan - Carols on Tivoli Lawn

We are excitedly planning our Carols on Tivoli Lawn on Sunday 8 December, 2024. We pray for fine weather.As we mention each year, this beautiful evening is a weather dependent event. In the event of rain this event would need to be cancelled.

The school would advise on Sunday 8 December via a Sundial notification at 10.00am if this event would need to be cancelled.

Nine Lessons and Carols - Monday 9 December, 2024 - St Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney - 6.00 - 7.00pm

Nine Lessons and Carols is an early evening event for Senior School parents and students. Nine Lessons and Carols takes place on Monday 9 December, 2024 from 6.00 - 7.00pm at St Andrew’s Cathedral.

Please note - Preparation - Year 6 Junior School sisters attending with parents should be dressed in Kambala summer uniform with blazers.

Speech Day - Wednesday 11 December, 2024 - 11.00am - 1.00pm, State Theatre, Sydney

It is an expectation that all girls in Years 3 - 12 attend in full school uniform with a parent/s to hear the address and support students who will receive prizes.

Massie House sisters who attend Speech Day will need to attend in their school uniform.
