We have a Christmas Pantomime coming up on Friday 6th December for Foundation, Year One and Year Two Students. If you haven’t already, please give permission and payment via Compass.
Class party day will be happening on Wednesday 18th December. We are encouraging kids to bring in a plate of food to share with the class. We are unable to heat up food in the classroom so if you wish to provide hot food (e.g. party pies/dumplings etc) please drop it off. We will be eating at around 12.30.
If you are making something to send in please include the ingredients. Remember that we endeavour to be a nut free school, this includes anything with peanut oil or peanut products.
Students still need to bring their snack on class party day and if they are not participating with the party food they should bring a packed lunch. Students may also wear a festive accessory such as a hat or headband, however school uniform is still required.
If you wish for your child to participate in Kris Kringle, please purchase a small gift (no more than $5) that any Foundation student might like to receive. The gift should be an item that a child of any gender would enjoy. Wrap it and have your child bring it in before December 18th. Make sure your child knows to show it to their teacher when they bring it in, to have their name ticked off the list and that they recognise their own gift to avoid selecting their own accidentally.
Each teacher has made a video of all the photos taken this year! If your child would like this memento, please bring in a NAMED USB so we can save it on there for them. Your child may not get it back on the same day, however it will come home with them when ready!
If your child has any Library books or school readers at home, can they please be brought back to school as soon as possible.
It is coming up to the time of year where we are discussing Year One. We find that it is helpful to talk about it with your child at home as well. Once Year One teachers are announced we will begin to introduce the children to them with photos and social stories to help prepare them. Students will have their Year One transition day on Friday 13th December.
Please notify your child’s classroom teacher via email and in advance if your children will not be attending the last weeks of school due to family holidays etc. This helps us plan our activities for the rest of the term. This will also need to be updated in Compass.
