SPC Swimming Invitational
The SPC Invitational Swim Meet on Friday brought together teams from St Pius X, College, St Joseph's College, Saint Ignatius’ College, Riverview and The King's School for an exciting evening of competition. The boys rose to the challenge, showcasing their skills and determination against strong competitors. With impressive times and standout performances in various events, they demonstrated the results of their hard work and preparation with SPC placing Third in the Junior Shield and Second in the Senior Shield. The atmosphere was electric as each member of the SPC Swim squad cheered for their mates and pushed to achieve their best, making it a memorable meet filled with team spirit and sportsmanship.
The highlight of the night came when Swimming Captain Jack Taylor set a new record in the 50m Freestyle, clocking an incredible time of 23.76 seconds. Jack's outstanding performance not only secured him first place but also set a new benchmark for the event. His record-breaking swim was a testament to his hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent, making it a standout moment of the day.
It was a fantastic night that could not have gone ahead without the huge efforts of both staff and student volunteers, so thank you all. A special thank you to Mr Brennan and Swimming Coach Mr Gatto for all their efforts in preparing the squad.
Congratulations
