Stage 3 Mathematics

Over the past fortnight in Mathematics, Year 5 students have been exploring different types of angles, including acute, obtuse, reflex, supplementary and complementary angles. Through hands-on activities and real-life examples, they are gaining a deeper understanding of how angles appear in the world around us. Meanwhile, Year 6 students have been working on calculating areas of triangles, rectangles and parallelograms, applying their knowledge to design floor plans of houses. By measuring and calculating the area of each room, they’re not only improving their mathematical skills but also learning how these concepts are used in architecture and design. Enjoy some wonderful work samples are below!
