Interschool Nationals - Tex Lang, Senior HM

"On September 29, to Oct 3, 2023, I headed down to the National Equestrian Centre, to compete at interschool nationals show jumping. I qualified on two horses, each representing Victoria in the primary 90cm and the primary 80cm. Team Victoria won in total over every event, however the teams that I represented came third overall out of every state. The results are calculated from the average of all of your efforts. I came 5th and 6th in one of the events and I came 8th overall on both horses, meaning that I am the 8th best primary rider in  Australia in showjumping."

Congratulations Tex, this is a fantastic result. We are all very proud of your amazing efforts!!

Sacred Heart College's Junior Chef

On Tuesday 10th of October, four amazing little St. B's chefs participated in the first round of Sacred Heart College's Junior Chef Competition. Gaz and Kylie proudly watched on as Samuel Russell, Eve Snelgrove, Lila Gallagher and Eleni Schneider exhibited amazing team work to produce a delicious plate of pancakes with a warm berry sauce. The judges gave great feedback highlighting their teamwork and kitchen skills. We will have to wait until the Grand Final on October 24th where they will make their own pasta and sauce to find out their scores for round 1. Whatever happens we are extremely proud of the way you represented our school at this event. Congratulations on your efforts thus far and good luck for the GF.

Walk Ride Scoot to School - Month Update

We are almost in the middle of October and many of our students are getting involved in the Walk, Ride, Scoot to School month. We can’t wait to add up all the points at the end of the month and find out who the winning house is.

Walking, riding, scooting or skating before and after school has many benefits.  Including enhanced mental wellbeing, uplifted mood and self-esteem, bolstered confidence and life skills, and deeper bonds with family, friends, and neighbours to the individual, community and environment can help reduce traffic and make the streets and drop-off zones around our schools safer.

We understand that not everyone can walk all the way to or from school so if this is the case, even walking part way is a good option.
