PBIS Blitz
NEW - Term 4 Week 1 PBIS Blitz
Our Blitz for the first week of Term 4 will be “Being Sunsmart”
Being Sunsmart involves Slip, Slop, Slap and Seek
At St Mary’s it’s so important that we slop on some sunscreen - each classroom has sunscreen, make sure you slop on some when you get to school and just before lunch. You might even like to put some on before school!
It is compulsory to Slap on a hat during Term 4.
At St Mary’s, we think it’s SUPER important to have your hat on whenever you go outside - we don’t want anyone getting sunburnt - Please also put your name on your hat - it’s easier for others to give it back to you if you misplace it!!
There is an expectation that that you wear your hat correctly…..This is how you wear your hat correctly
This is the incorrect way to wear your hat. Please wear your hat correctly.
If you don’t have your hat we have a No Hat, No Play policy. If you don’t have your hat, you will need to sit under the shade sails near the eating tables.
Where possible, Seek some shade. It is going to get hotter as the days roll on, find some shade to play in!
We hope that everyone enjoys being outside in the wonderful warm weather - let’s look after ourselves and make sure that we are being sunsmart.
NEW - Term 4 Week 2 PBIS Blitz
Our current blitz is Reducing our litter at school. It was wonderful to see so many students using the correct bins this week and thinking of ways to reduce their litter. Last week, 5-6 GW focused on the idea of using a reusable container for snacks. If you change a few small things we can reduce the amount of plastic we collect.
Rather than using cling wrap, use a reusable container or bag to store snacks. Food scraps go in the green bin. Remember the green bin is emptied every week and we need to use this bin as best as we can.
At St Mary’s, we take pride in our school. Let’s do what we can to reduce the amount of rubbish we produce.
