Good afternoon families,

This week we have welcomed our prep 2024 children and families to St Louis, with the first orientation.It was lovely to see so many smiling faces on both children and parents.

our year 6 students received the sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday night. Both ceremonies were beautiful and I would like to thank Bishop Tony Ireland and Father Ignatius. Thank you to Mrs Marylene Douglas our Religious Education Leader and the Year 6 teachers for all their hard work in preparing the ceremony and students.

Consideration for class placement for 2024.

 If you have any extenuating circumstances that you would like to be considered in placing your child in a particular class for 2024, please put your request in an email to me:- cstutterd@stlouisaspendale.com

Please do not request a particular teacher. Requests will be closed on Friday 20 October.

Prep Orientation for 2024 Students

The next Orientation for Prep 2024 students is on Thursday 26 October at 9am - 12.15 pm 

 PFA

We had a Parents and Friends meeting on Tuesday night and the PFA have purchased a gaga pit for all the students to play in. Mrs Stefanec will coordinate the construction and may need to call on some parents to help. Thank you to our wonderful PFA.

We have a colour run for the whole school coming up on Friday 24 November. Please go to the PFA page of the newsletter for more information.

School Advisory Council (SAC)

 We have a SAC meeting on Thursday 19 October at 7 pm. If you have any ideas/ thoughts/ issues that need to be discussed at this meeting, please email the office and it will be forwarded to our chairperson Mr Bill Taboulis.

 St Louis' Art Show Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 October 2023

You are all invited to St Louis' Art Show on Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 October.

The students have been preparing for the Art Show all year. Students have prepared art from their classroom and their visual art lessons. 

Tuesday 24 October at 4.30 - 6.30pm with the Offical opening at 5 pm in the hall. 

Thursday 3.30- 5.30pm is also opened for parents to view the student's art work.

Important Dates:-

Monday 16 October - Stomp dance company incursion for all year levels 

Tuesday 17 October - Year 1 Excursion to the zoo

Tuesday 17 October - Year6 AFL girls competition - RESA park 

Thursday 19 October- SAC meeting -7 pm in the Boardroom

Friday 20 October - Big Green Conference year 6 Sustainability leaders 

Friday 20 October - Yr 6 Girls Cricket Division finals 

Tuesday 24 October-  St Louis' Art Show 4.30- 6.30 pm. Offical opening 5 pm 

Thursday 26 October- St Louis' Art Show 3.30- 5.30 pm 

Friday 27 October - World Teacher's Day 

Monday 6 November - School closure.
