Welcome back to Term 4. How quickly the year has gone!  Year 12 students are in their final days of formal schooling and are either preparing for exams or ready to move into work or apprenticeships. 

Prep and Year 7 transition programs for 2024 will be underway this term, as well as our Open Evening on 24 October -  an important time to showcase the school not just to our own community but also to prospective families. 

There are many exciting programs for students and families to engage with: the Middle School play of 'Hansel and Gretel' was exciting, along with PE week and Environment programs, too. A small group of families are participating in our monthly Sunday Worship and the Parents and Friends Association are busy organising the Fun Run, the Fairview Dance Party and the Apron and Tea Towel Fundraiser.

Mickleham Road works are causing some necessary pain as Major Roads Victoria works hard to prepare intersections. Please be patient as these works continue. The final outcome will be worth the wait. Please see the update from Major Roads Victoria below.

We had a visit from several members of parliament, including John Pesutto (Leader of the Opposition in Victoria), Evan Mulholland (Member for the Northern Metropolitan Regions) and Jessica Wilson (Shadow Minister for Early Childhood and Education). Topics for discussion included payroll tax, school funding, the Disability Royal Commission, teacher workforce issues and growth corridor infrastructure issues. We thanked them for their time and they acknowledged the advocacy many families contributed to in relation to the payroll tax issues.
