From The Library
Library Bags
ALL students from Prep to Grade 6 require a Library Bag to borrow from the library. These library bags do not need to be fancy or expensive – even just a plain shopping bag will do! The reason why library bags are important – no matter what age you are – is so the library bag can protect the books from everything that is in the school bag, like mashed banana, leaking drink bottles, or things getting shoved inside! Unfortunately, we have had many books getting returned that are damaged and can’t be recirculated, and so for this reason we are saying – No Library Bag – No Borrowing –
- Note - If you have any spare cloth shopping bags / Cotton On bags and you would like to donate them to the Library – they would be greatly appreciated.
Lamont Book Fair Is Coming….
Monday 23rd October till Friday 27th October 2023
It is that time of year again when the Library comes alive with a buzz in the air!
Lamont Books are bringing their Book Fair to our school next week. It is a great time to buy some Christmas presents for family and friends or as a treat for your family members.
Murrumbeena Primary School gets 20% of the sales to go towards new books for our library, so all students and teachers can enjoy the rewards.
We will have cash, credit, and debit card facilities available but also Online payments to make life easier when you child brings home their Wish List. That’s right – parents don’t even have to attend this year, as students will get an opportunity to attend Book Fair with their class and write down their Wish List to take home.
Book Fair opening times for students and parents are as follows:
Monday - Thursday 8.30am – 8.55am
& 3.30pm – 4pm
Friday 8.30am till 8.55am
(no afternoon session)
Hope to see lots of people there!
