Hot Weather 

As the term progresses, the weather will become increasingly warm. 

At Holy Family we will support our students and staff during hot days by - 

• appropriate use of air conditioning and cross ventilation in classrooms 
• varying normal teaching programs through the use of shady and cool outdoor facilities
• encouraging students to drink water and allowing drink bottles in the classrooms
• including alternative activities at recess/lunch time such as Library and quiet activities 
• Parents can help by:
• sending their children to school with a water bottle
• packing a hat in your child's school bag
• applying sunscreen before they head off to school.
• sending their children dressed to school in appropriate clothing - during the hot weather in Australia children usually only wear their uniform with no under clothing. Jumpers are not needed in Term Four - they can stay in school bags if needed.
