From the Head of Sport

This week our summer MICs have been running trials for Basketball and Touch Football. It has been good to see a large amount of interest from students. Please remember that part of the process to trial for sport is to complete the summer sport survey. This has now been placed on the MyBMGS sports page for those who have not entered their details.

We are still looking for players from Years 10-12 who are interested in playing Touch Football. This is for both boys and girls.

Positions at Tennis and Basketball are now full.

Uniforms

Once summer teams have been named please see Mrs Olmos in the Uniform Shop to confirm that your uniform from last season fits and the number on your singlet is correct. If you are new to the sport please go to the Uniform Shop to order your uniform. This must be done before the end of term to ensure uniforms are ready for Term 4.

Presentation Evenings

The Rugby Presentation for 2023 is to be held in collaboration with Redlands Rugby on the 16/9/23 at Balgowlah Bowling Club. All students who have advised the school that they will be attending have had tickets purchased for them. Any parents who have not purchased tickets as yet and were hoping to attend please email either myself or Mr Michielsen to discuss options.

Athletics Carnival

The ISA Athletics Carnival will be held on the 12th September. The team list is on the sports noticeboard and notes have been distributed via MyBMGS. Please come and see me if there are issues regarding the events that you are entered in. If you do not have a BMGS basketball or athletics singlet you will be required to hire one from the uniform shop. All athletes are to wear navy shorts or tights to compete.
