Wellbeing, Welfare and Learning Support
Student Services is proud of our collaborative approach to student welfare and wellbeing. As a team, we meet weekly to discuss students requiring additional support and ensure support networks are put into place. If you have any questions, concerns or information about your student, please give the team a call or email.
Since the beginning of term, the space has been a buzz of activity. Our current programs include:
Mental Health / Resilience Building Programs
As part of our ongoing efforts to prioritize mental health, we will be offering wellbeing programs throughout the term to raise awareness and provide tools for stress management and resilience building. Programs which will be running include:
- STRENGTH/SHINE - these programs focus on goal setting, problem solving, peer networking and resilience building.
- RAGE PROGRAM - a strength based/solution focused anger management program
- COOKING PROGRAM - this program is designed to build crucial life skills whilst providing an environment where young people going through similar challenges in life can network and be supported.
- DRUM BEATS - DRUMBEAT incorporates hand drumming, behavioural therapeutic principles and cognitive and dialectical elements to achieve positive outcomes.
- TOP BLOKES PROGRAM - Resilience program for boys. Run by external providers for our young men in Year 9.
- RAISE MENTORING PROGRAM - We welcome back RAISE mentoring in 2024, kicking off in Term 2.
