TERM 4 CASUAL DRESS DAY | For the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre

The Term 4 Casual Dress Day happened on 21 November 2023, with all proceeds going to the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, a world leading cancer research, education, and treatment centre. On the day, the event was very well supported with Frankston High School community raising $1290.45. Thank you to all of those who contributed including those who donated, supported the Bake Sale and the many people who helped to make the day a success.

SUCCESS | Netball

An excellent finish to the Frankston and District League Netball (FDNA) season, with Frankston High School finishing on top of the ladder in all divisions:

  • In the Year 7 division, the Pythons showed their style and came home undefeated champions.
  • The Year 8 competition was sealed in the final round by the Sharks, the most improved team in the league.
  • Our three Senior Teams finished the season 1, 2, 3 on the same points. Jets played a great last game and were able to take first place in goals scored, but couldn’t jump the Falcons and the Opals percentage.

It has been really rewarding to see all of our teams develop; the standard of netball in some teams is already outstanding, but the real reward is the improvement in teamwork especially with the Swifts, who notched up not only their first ever win, but their second and third. The Diamonds are full of talent and will be the backbone of next year’s teams, and the Corellas are the most fun to watch and will become a force!

Thanks to all the parents for supporting the students playing on Friday nights. We’ve also really appreciated the new facilities at Jubilee Park and thank Rae Darcy and all at FDNA for organising this competition. Over 100 Frankston High School netballers have played this year, and this does not include some who attend Semper Squad and don’t play in the league. Congratulations to all of you on a fantastic year of representative netball, and particularly on your success this season.

RELAY 4 LIFE | Cancer Council

On Friday 27 October, 35 Sports Leaders and SLC members walked 22kms from Mt Martha back to Frankston High School to raise awareness and money for the Cancer Council. The event was organised by Sports Leadership, Mr Rowe and Ms Burton. We had perfect conditions for the day. Once the group made it back to school, a representative from the Cancer Council shared with us the impact our funds will have on others and thanked everyone involved. This was an incredibly successful day and $5,141 was raised. Thank you to everyone who supported us.
